TAP IN Youth Mentoring Program

TAP IN, is the youth mentoring program of Positive Choices Incorporated (PCI), a non- profit, founded by Aazaar Abdul Rahim. TAP IN is set to make a significant impact on middle school students in Washington, DC. The program aims to provide students from DC Public and Public Charter Schools with invaluable mentorship opportunities, focusing on academic growth, attendance, and personal development.

Program Details:

Schedule: TAP IN sessions will take place on Mondays once a month, running from September to December and February to June in 2024-2025.
Location: During the pilot year, mentoring sessions will be held at the respective school locations, ensuring accessibility and convenience for participating students.
Partnership: The program will leverage the expertise and guidance of college athletes and professionals, offering students the chance to interact with accomplished individuals in the field of athletics and academics.
Objective: Through one-on-one interactions with college mentors, students will be encouraged to cultivate meaningful relationships, foster academic growth, and prioritize regular attendance, laying a strong foundation for their future success.
